Booking Deposits & Cancellations
To keep our diary fair and manageable, a booking deposit may be required for certain appointments.
This usually applies to:
- larger jobs
- short-notice bookings
- higher-risk bookings where labour and diary time need to be committed in advance
Any booking deposit paid is credited against your final invoice and is not an additional charge.
When a booking deposit may be required
A booking deposit is more likely to apply where:
- the total job value is higher
- the booking is made at short notice
- a time slot is being specifically reserved
- labour or scheduling has to be committed in advance
Typical deposit levels
Where required, booking deposits are usually:
- £35 for mid-sized higher-risk bookings
- £65 for larger or short-notice bookings
The exact amount, if applicable, will always be confirmed before the booking is finalised.
Cancellations
If a booking is cancelled at short notice, some or all of the booking deposit may be retained where costs, losses or scheduling commitments have already been incurred. This may include:
- reserved labour
- allocated diary time
- travel planning
- loss of opportunity to accept other work
Where no booking deposit has been taken, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable cancellation fee for late cancellations where costs or losses have already been incurred.
If you need to change or cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible.
